What the course covers
The safety combo bundles five separate competencies that most South African sites ask for at induction, run back to back over ten days so a learner comes out site-ready.
The programme covers First Aid Level 1, Fire Fighting Level 1, Working at Heights, Basic Rigging and SHE Representative training. Between them these cover hazard identification, emergency response, incident prevention and compliance with workplace safety regulations. Each competency is taught and assessed on its own terms, with the practical components done on the relevant equipment.
How you are assessed and what you receive
Each of the five competencies is assessed separately, with written knowledge tests and practical assessments as the individual unit standards require. Learners receive a certificate for each competency they pass rather than one combined certificate, and all of them can be downloaded from the Fundza portal as well as issued directly.
What this certificate is worth
Site inductions rarely ask for one certificate. They ask for a set, and a worker missing one of them is turned away at the gate. Booking the combo means an employer can put a new intake through once instead of scheduling five separate courses across several weeks, and the learner arrives on site with the full set in hand.

Where and how the training runs
The programme runs at the Fundza Training Institute centre in Mokopane, and on site at your own operation. On-site delivery is generally better for an intake, since ten days off site for a whole group is expensive and the practical work can be done on your own equipment.
